Sought: search demand (beta)

What people typed into the public SSH search site. A measure of interest and worry, not of incidence.

Sought is search demand: what people looked for on the public Stolen Stuff Hawaii search site. It is a measure of what a community is interested in or worried about, and it is in beta.

The four signal cards; the green Sought card shows 829 typed searches on SSH search, islandwide, marked beta.
Sought is the green card: typed searches on the public SSH search site, still in beta.

What it is, and when it begins

It counts typed searches on the public search product. Coverage begins January 2026. Because it is early, it is labeled beta and shown as a supporting signal rather than a headline one.

What it can tell you

What people were actively looking for, sometimes an early hint of concern that has not yet shown up in the recorded or reported signals.

What it cannot tell you

Interest is not incidence. A rise in searches means more people looked something up, not that more of it happened. As a beta signal, treat it as a soft indicator, not a count.
