🌊 Weather and hazard alerts

Weather brings in National Weather Service alerts for the island, flood, wind, surf, and similar, as context alongside the human signals. It is environmental, never a crime measure.

What it is

It counts NWS alerts issued for the island (flood advisories, high-surf and high-wind warnings, and the like), by type and time.

What it can tell you

The environmental backdrop for a period. A stretch of hazard alerts can help explain why other signals moved, or simply give an honest picture of what the island was dealing with.

What it cannot tell you

It is not a crime or safety signal and is never combined with one. It is context, shown side by side, never a forecast or a verdict.
