🕰️ The time machine: looking at a past month

Every report can travel in time. Change the date range and the entire page, every signal, rate, map, and briefing, re-reads for that past month.

How to use it

On the report, use the Date range picker near the top. Pick any complete past month. The whole page, not just the headline, recomputes for that period. This works the same way in the full report and the PDF, so a downloaded report is always anchored to its month.

Why the newest month looks low

The most recent month is provisional and still settling. If you step back one month, you are usually looking at more complete data. This is expected, and it is why a fresh month should be read as "so far," not "final." See Why did the number change.

Reading a trend over time

Each signal also shows its own trend line across months. A coverage boundary (the month a signal's data begins) is labeled, so the first month of a new signal is never mistaken for a sudden jump in activity.
