📍 Using Places: your own addresses

Places is for the buildings, sites, and posts you are responsible for. Add each one by its street address and SSH Intel places it and counts what was recorded within about a quarter mile and about a half mile of it, month by month and week by week.

Adding a site

Open Places, give the site a name, and type its street address, or paste several at once. We check each address against two sources, usually within five minutes. Any Oahu address can be added, whichever areas your plan covers. Association includes 1 site, District 3, Regional 10, and Portfolio 25, and a site pack adds more.

What each site shows

Each site has its own page: how each month compared (recorded offenses, community reports, calls for service and collisions around it, each on its own line), how each settled week ran for calls and collisions, what kinds of records they were, and, where HPD publishes one, the activity at the site's own block in HPD's own location grain. The Site Brief is the same page as a dated PDF you can hand to an owner, a board, or a client, and it adds the overnight window: calls for service by the hour they came in, within about a half mile, over the last three complete months.

Counts, never a rate

A site is an address, not a population, so its figures are counts and are never turned into a per-capita rate. The Places board opens in name order, and you can sort any column yourself by clicking its heading. For a per-capita read, use the area the site sits in, where the daytime-population rate and its confidence band live.

Your own log, beside the record

Under What did your own team log here? you can add your own monthly counts (typed in, or from the CSV template). They show in their own column beside the public record, never added to it, and only your organisation sees them.

Notices and delivery

You can ask for an email when a site's week or month stood out against its own history. Nothing is sent in a week when nothing stood out. With the Co-Brand add-on, the Site Brief can also be emailed each month under your name to people you choose. From your Account page you can give a client of yours a login that sees only the sites you pick; it does not use one of your seats.
